On Thursday, October 1, 2020, the Massachusetts Reading Association presented Minuteman with this banner to memorialize the school receiving the 2020 Exemplary Reading Award last spring as the statewide school closures began due to the pandemic.

It was the first time the Mass. Reading Association recognized a high school; all previous recipients have been elementary schools. The association says Minuteman stood out for deeply integrating literacy across academic and career technical education disciplines over the past decade.
