Humanities

The Humanities Department helps students understand the world, explore different perspectives, and develop a deeper appreciation for the people, cultures, and ideas that shape our lives. Through history, social studies, psychology, the arts, music, world languages, and American Sign Language, students are encouraged to explore, question, create, and connect.

Our courses help students develop critical thinking, cultural awareness, communication skills, and creative expression. By examining the past, understanding human behavior, experiencing the arts, and learning new ways to communicate, students gain the knowledge and perspective they need to become informed, thoughtful, and engaged members of their communities and the world.
