Since 2017, Minuteman teachers and administrators have continued to build upon the Academy Model to foster deep integration between the teaching of academics and career technical education (CTE). In fact, the new Minuteman building, which opened in 2019, was constructed in a manner to foster the growth of the Academy Model -- with break-out spaces, project based learning rooms, and classrooms and shops strategically placed near one another.
At Minuteman, there are two Academies: 1) Engineering, Construction, and Trades; and 2) Life Sciences and Services. Within those two academies are five Pathways, which contain the 19 CTE program majors, as shown in the organizational chart below. The programs are organized by pathways and academies to encourage an integration of learning among the different programs.
