Out-of-District Students
All students are eligible to apply; availability of specific pathways depends on home-district options.
Everyone is welcome to apply to Minuteman, regardless of the city or town they live in. Massachusetts state regulations (603 CMR 4.00) designate students from non-member towns will have limitations, especially in ninth grade.
- Students who live in towns that do not offer a Chapter 74 exploratory program may apply to Minuteman.
- Students who live in towns that do offer an approved exploratory program may apply to Minuteman but are typically expected to participate in that local program in ninth grade, unless they wish to explore one of Minuteman’s specialized agriculture & natural resources programs (Environmental Science, Horticulture and Plant Science, Veterinary Science) that are not available in their home district. More information on specialized agricultural and natural resource eligibility can be found here.
- All non-member town students must complete a Chapter 74 Non-Resident Tuition Application. Minuteman's Admissions team will provide the form to all applicants in March for completion for the April 1st deadline.
