Program Description

The Culinary Arts & Hospitality career major focuses on providing students with a comprehensive education and training in cooking, baking, guest services, and management. The centerpiece of the program is The District Restaurant. The student-operated, 75-seat upscale casual restaurant is open to the public. Students also operate a quick-serve café and bakery counter and the Paul Revere Conference Room, which is often rented by outside organizations for conferences and business meetings.

Since 2021, the Culinary/Hospitality team have operated a weekly take-out program called the Soup Group. Customers place orders for soups and bakery items online and pick their orders up curbside. In addition, students prepare hundreds of meals a month through a collaboration with Food Link MA to provide meals to people who are food insecure.
