A. Daily Schedule

7:00-9:00

  • Daily check-in in with Tadpoles is required before you child enters the classroom.  
    • If there is a change in who is picking up your child, a written note (can be email) needs to be completed.

  CHILDREN SHOULD ARRIVE BY 9:00

9:00-9:20

  • Literacy activities

9:20-10:00

  • Morning snack

10:00-11:00

  • Circle time & curriculum centers

11:00-11:15

  • Bathroom check and prepare to go outside

11:15-12:15

  • Gym/outside time*

12:15-12:45

  • Lunch: student interns depart for lunch*

12:45-1:00

  • Bathroom check/ Book looks

1:00-2:30

  • Rest time/manipulatives on mats 
2:30-3:00
  • Journals (as children wake up)

3:00-3:45

  • Afternoon snack time*
  • Classroom exploration

3:45-4:00

  • Clean-up/Room is closed

*Hand washing/Toileting

Of course there is a variation from day to day, but this is the basic schedule. All children need a certain amount of structure as well as unstructured time during the day and week.

Throughout this handbook, the term “parent or parents” will refer to parents and/or guardians.
