Outcomes of the Minuteman High School Class of 2022

 

The Minuteman High School alumni are well known for their college and career success after graduation – and the Class of 2022 is proving to be no exception.

The Minuteman graduates are attending Arizona State University, Bentley University, Clemson University, Colorado State, Emerson College, Johnson & Wales, Merrimack College, Regis College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Texas A&M, Tufts University, Wheaton College, and numerous others, including various University of Massachusetts and state university campuses, along with community colleges and trade schools.

Many students are going directly into the workforce to pursue their career trade of study, with numerous graduates gaining apprenticeships in the electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and welding trades with local unions or contracting companies.

All Minuteman graduates – both college- and workforce-bound – receive at least one industry-recognized credential to demonstrate proficiency in their career technical areas to future employers; many obtain multiple credentials.

Several students in the Environmental Science, Early Education and Teaching, Health Assisting, and Cosmetology programs are graduating with state licenses to begin working in their respective fields.

ACTON

Joseph Aiello, Electrical Wiring, of Acton, will work as an electrical apprentice for Integrated Power Controls of Ipswich. Aiello received three industry-recognized credentials related to electrical wiring, including OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health.

Ian-McNeil Buck, Carpentry, of Acton, is pursuing post-secondary training at Heavy Construction Academy of Brentwood, N.H. Buck received the Outstanding Senior Portfolio Award, Carpentry Career Program Award, the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, and three industry-recognized credentials related to construction, including OSHA-10 Construction and Safety.

Cam Fox, Design and Visual Communications, of Acton, will attend Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine and was accepted to nine additional colleges or universities. Fox is a member of the National Honors Society and received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and the Art Achievement Award, along with four industry-recognized credentials: two for Adobe design, CareerSafe Cyber Safety, and OSHA-10 General Safety and Health.

Aaron Goldman, Design and Visual Communications, of Acton. Goldman is working full time in the hospitality industry. Goldman received three industry-recognized credentials: two for Adobe design and OSHA-10 general safety. He received the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and the Friends of Minuteman Award.

Glenn Guenard, Electrical Wiring, of Acton. Guenard is working full time as a plumbing and heating apprentice for Brian’s Oil Services of Lunenburg. Guenard received three industry-recognized credentials related to construction, including OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and HILTI Tool Usage.

Dylan Higgins, Biotechnology, of Acton. Higgins was the Salutatorian for the Class of 2022 and will attend Tufts University to study biochemistry. Higgins is a member of the National Honor Society and received the Minuteman Spirit and Dedication Award, the Roger Eleftherakis Memorial Scholarship, the Principal’s Award, the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, and the English Academic Achievement Award, along with the OSHA-10 General Safety and Health industry-recognized credential.

Hayden Jelinsky, Horticulture and Plant Science, of Acton. Jelinsky will attend University of Massachusetts Amherst and was accepted to four additional universities. Jelinsky received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship, the Horticulture Career Program Award, and three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, American Red Cross First Aid and AED.

Samir Kris, Engineering Technology, of Acton. Kris will attend Auburn University and was accepted to five additional colleges or universities. Kris is a member of the National Honor Society and received the Physical Education Achievement Award, along with the OSHA-10 General Industry Safety credential.

Courtney Lang, Early Education and Teaching, of Acton. Lang is working full-time for The Goddard School of Lexington. Lang received six industry-recognized credentials, including American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED; and Massachusetts Department of Early Education’s Preschool Teacher Certification, Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification, and Strong Start Training Certification.

Jordan McAuliffe, Early Education and Teaching, of Acton. McAuliffe received the OSHA-10 General Industry Safety credential.

Ojas Thakur, Automotive Technology, of Acton. Thakur will attend University of Massachusetts Lowell and was accepted to four additional colleges or universities. Thakur received seven industry-recognized credentials, including the general Automobile Service Excellence (ASE) recognition, ASE Electrical/Electronic Systems, and ASE Engine Performance.

Kendra Traywick, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, of Acton. Traywick received the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, the Francis Koppeis/Wayside Inn Award, the Digital Credit Union Scholarship, and three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, ServSafe Food Handler, American Heart Association CPR and Heart Saver First Aid.

Andrew Zeng, Design and Visual Communications, of Acton. Zeng will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was accepted to two additional universities. He received three scholarships: the Deluca Family/Class of 2004 Scholarship, Digital Credit Union Scholarship, and Design and Visual Communications Career Program Award. Zeng received four industry-recognized credentials, including two related to use of Adobe for design, CareerSafe Cyber Safety, and the OSHA-10 General Industry Safety.

ARLINGTON

Samuel Albers, Plumbing and Heating, of Arlington. Albers will attend Arizona State University. Albers was accepted to two additional universities. He received the DCU and John and Abigail Adams Scholarships. Albers received four industry-recognized credentials, including OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and Hot Work Safety.

Maxim Allor, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, of Arlington. Allor will attend Johnson & Wales University and was accepted to two additional universities. Allor received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and industry-recognized certifications in ServSafe Food Handler, OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, and CPR for the Health Care Professional.

Brady Anderson, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, of Arlington. Anderson will work as a lineman apprentice for IBEW Local 104 of Mansfield. Anderson received the Bruce Flood Memorial Scholarship and two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, and CPR for the Health Care Professional.

Zoe Callahan, Early Education and Teaching, of Arlington. Callahan will attend Worcester State University and was accepted to seven additional colleges or universities. She is a member of the National Honor Society and received four scholarships: the Early Education Career Program Award, Nick’s Pick Award, Andrea Martocchia Memorial Scholarship, and the Digital Credit Union Scholarship. Callahan received six industry-recognized credentials, including American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED; and Massachusetts Department of Early Education’s Preschool Teacher Certification, Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification, and Strong Start Training Certification.

Ryan Carta, Electrical Wiring, of Arlington. Carta will work as an electrical apprentice for SMD Electrical Contractors of Woburn. He received the Friends of Minuteman Award. Carta received two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and HILTI Tool Usage.

Wyatt Caruso, Multimedia Engineering, of Arlington. Caruso will attend Middlesex Community College to study computer science and music. Caruso received the Music Achievement Award and two industry-recognized credentials: Adobe Digital Video and OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health.

Trinity Choroszej, Biotechnology, of Arlington. Choroszej was the Valedictorian for the Class of 2022 and will attend University of Massachusetts Boston; she was accepted to four additional colleges or universities. Choroszej is a member of the National Honor Society and received the Bonnie Hilla Scholarship, the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, the Minuteman Parents Association Scholarship. She also received three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, American Red Cross First Aid, and Red Cross AED.

Sophia DaSilva, Biotechnology, of Arlington. DaSilva will attend University of Maine Orono and was accepted to 12 additional colleges or universities. DaSilva is a member of the National Honor Society and received the Biotechnology Career Program Award, Arlington Rotary Club, John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, and Digital Credit Union Scholarship, along with the OSHA-10 General Safety and Health industry-recognized credential.

Maria-Eduarda DaSilva, Early Education and Teaching, of Arlington. DaSilva will attend Massachusetts College of Art and was accepted to three additional colleges or universities. DaSilva received the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and six industry-recognized credentials, including American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED; and Massachusetts Department of Early Education’s Preschool Teacher Certification, Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification, and Strong Start Training Certification.

Berkley J. DiBiase, Plumbing and Heating, of Arlington. DiBiase received industry-recognized credentials for OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, Mass. Plumbing License Credit, and Hot Work Safety.

Dominic Frisoli, Plumbing and Heating, of Arlington. Frisoli will work as a plumber apprentice for Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning of Brookline. Frisoli received four industry-recognized credentials, including OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and Hot Work Safety.

Simon Goodwin, Advanced Manufacturing, of Arlington. Goodwin will attend University of Massachusetts Lowell; he was also accepted to Salem State University. Goodwin received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health and NIMS Material Prep and Safety.

Theo Gredenius, Design and Visual Communications, of Arlington. Gredenius will attend Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and was accepted to two additional universities. Gredenius received the Friends of Minuteman Award and industry-recognized credentials in OSHA-10 General Safety and Health and CareerSafe Cyber Safety.

Koi Green, Programming and Web Development, of Arlington. Green is working full-time in the hospitality industry. Green received Programming and Web Development Career Program Award and the OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health certification.

Brandan Hunter, Electrical Wiring, of Arlington. Hunter is working as an electrical apprentice for the Local 103 electrical union of Dorchester. Hunter received two industry recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and HILTI Tool Usage.

Anis Iftikhar, Electrical Wiring, of Arlington. Iftikhar will attend University of Massachusetts Boston; he was also accepted to UMass Lowell. Iftikhar received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, HILTI Tool Usage, and American Red Cross CPR/AED.

Asnaan Iftikhar, Plumbing and Heating, of Arlington. Iftikhar will attend University of Massachusetts Boston. Iftikhar received four industry-recognized credentials, including Mass. Plumbing License Credit and Hot Work Safety.

Ryan Jones, Health Assisting, of Arlington. Jones will attend Regis College and was accepted to five additional colleges and universities. Jones received a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate along with six industry-recognized credentials, including CMS Dementia Care, ACS Stop the Bleed, and Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology Mastery. Jones received the Minuteman Parents Association Scholarship, the Digital Federal Credit Union Scholarship, the Minuteman Alumni Award, and the Health Assisting Career Program Award.

Liam Masten, Carpentry, of Arlington. Masten is working as a carpenter apprentice for LaGrasso Carpentry of Billerica. Masten received two industry-recognized credentials in OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and Hot Work Safety.

Tenzin Namsey, Multimedia Engineering, of Arlington. Namsey will attend Bunker Hill Community College to study visual design. Namsey received two industry-recognized credentials in Adobe Digital Video and OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health.

Tomas O’Connell, Horticulture and Plant Science, of Arlington. O’Connell is working part-time and received the OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health industry-recognized credential.

Alexis Roberts, Plumbing and Heating, of Arlington. Roberts will attend Middlesex Community College. Roberts received the Friends of Minuteman Award and three industry-recognized certifications: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, Plumbing License Credit, and Hot Work Safety.

Jaelyn Rodriguez, Multimedia Engineering, of Arlington. Rodriguez will attend Middlesex Community College. Rodriguez received two industry-recognized credentials in Adobe Digital Video and OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health.

Eleanor Silvadurso, Health Assisting, of Arlington. Silvadurso will attend University of New Hampshire and was accepted to six additional colleges or universities. Silvadurso is a member of the National Honor Society and received the Ralph Hersey Award and Digital Credit Union Scholarship, along with a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate and six industry-recognized credentials, including CMS Dementia Care, ACS Stop the Bleed, and Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology Mastery.

Jalen Smith, Health Assisting, of Arlington. Smith will attend Middlesex Community College to study in the radiology technician program. Gavin Sparks, Advanced Manufacturing, of Arlington. Sparks will attend University of Maine Orono and was accepted to three additional universities. Sparks received the Minuteman Parents Association and Digital Credit Union scholarships, along with three industry-recognized credentials in OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, NIMS Material Prep and Safety, and Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Milling.

Jerry Takang, Robotics and Automation, of Arlington. Takang will attend University of Massachusetts Lowell and was accepted to three additional colleges or universities. Takang received the Robotics and Automation Career Program Award and the OSHA-10 General Safety and Health industry-recognized credential.

BEDFORD

Katerina Holbrook, Early Education and Teaching, of Bedford. Holbrook will attend Clemson University and was accepted to three additional colleges or universities. Holbrook is a member of the National Honor Society and was Minuteman’s 2022 nomination for the statewide Walter J. Markham Award. She received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and the History Academic Achievement Award, along with received six industry-recognized credentials, including three from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in early childhood teaching.

BELMONT

Michael Carracini, Horticulture and Plant Science, of Belmont. Carracini will attend University of Massachusetts Amherst to study turf grass management. Carracini received three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, American Red Cross First Aid, and Red Cross CPR/AED.

Taien Gorman, Culinary Arts and Horticulture, of Belmont. Gorman received the Ryan Eaton Memorial Scholarship, Gourmet Club Award, and Digital Credit Union Scholarship, along with three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, ServSafe Food Handler, and American Heart Association CPR and Heart Saver First Aid.

Matthew Mancini, Health Assisting, of Belmont. Mancini received six industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health, American Heart Association CPR and Heart Saver First Aid/AED and First Aid, CMS Dementia Care, ACS Stop the Bleed, and Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology Mastery.

Daryin Medrano Jimenez, Design and Visual Communications, of Belmont. Jimenez will attend School of Fashion Design in Boston and working part-time as a graphic designer at a clothing apparel company. Jimenez received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and industry-recognized credentials in OSHA-10 General Safety and Health and CareerSafe Cyber Safety.

Alex Muriel, Electrical Wiring, of Belmont. Muriel received the Digital Credit Union and Friends of Minuteman awards, along with three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, HILTI Tool Usage, and American Red Cross CPR/AED.

Patrick Murphy, Plumbing and Heating, of Belmont. Murphy is working as a plumber apprentice for Dan-Cel Plumbing of Woburn. Murphy received three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, Plumbing License Certificate, and Hot Work Safety.

John Sacca, Environmental Science, of Belmont. Sacca received four industry-recognized credentials, including OSHA-40 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standards Certification, OSHA-10 General Safety and Health.

Carine Valery, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, of Belmont. Valery will attend Johnson & Wales University. Valery received the Margaret Rosselli Memorial Scholarship, the Digital Credit Union Scholarship, and two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health and American Heart Association CPR and Heart Saver First Aid.

William Oulton, Horticulture and Plant Science, of Belmont. Oulton will attend Berklee College of Music. Oulton received the Digital Credit Union, Jed Dowd, and Scott Pisano Memorial scholarships, along with three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED.

Brooke Vaughan, Health Assisting, of Belmont. Vaughan will attend Regis College and was accepted to two additional universities. James Murch, Design and Visual Communications, of Bolton. Murch received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and three industry-recognized credentials: one for graphic design using Adobe Illustrator, one for visual communication using Adobe Photoshop, and OSHA-10 General Safety and Health.

Tyrese Rho, Horticulture and Plant Science, of Boston. Rho will attend Bentley University. Rho was accepted to five additional colleges or universities. Rho received the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and three industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED.

BURLINGTON

Andrew Wood, Electrical Wiring, of Burlington. Wood is working as an electrical apprentice for Dionne Electric of Blackstone. Wood received four scholarships: Digital Credit Union, Paul M. Stone Memorial, Minuteman Alumni, and Craig King Memorial, along with industry-recognized credentials in OSHA-10 General Safety and Health and HILTI Tool Usage.

CHELMSFORD

Alex Tarr, Horticulture and Plant Science, of Chelmsford. Tarr will attend Middlesex Community College and received an industry-recognized credential in OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health.

CONCORD

Jillian Geraghty, Cosmetology, of Concord. Geraghty is working full-time as a hairdresser for European Flair Salon in Concord. Geraghty received the Cosmetology Career Program Award, Friends of Minuteman Award, Digital Credit Union Scholarship, and three industry-recognized credentials: Cosmetology License, SP/2 Safety Certification, OSHA-10 General Safety and Health.

Layla Lubin, Health Assisting, of Concord. Lubin will attend Curry College and was accepted to 11 additional colleges and universities. Lubin received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate and is working part-time as a nursing assistant at Brookhaven assisted living facility in Lexington. Lubin is a member of the National Honor Society and received the John Hayward Memorial Scholarship, Minuteman Parents Association Scholarship, and the Digital Credit Union Scholarship, along with six industry-recognized credentials, including CMS Dementia Care, ACS Stop the Bleed, and Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology Mastery.

Drew Mara, Multimedia Engineering, of Concord. Mara will attend University of Rhode Island. Mara was accepted to two additional universities and received two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and Adobe Digital Video.

Aidan Parker, Plumbing and Heating, of Concord. Parker is working as a plumber apprentice for Flannery Plumbing and Heating of Boxborough. Parker received three industry-recognized credentials: Plumbing License Credit, OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and Hot Work Safety.

Stuart Strong, Carpentry, of Concord. Strong will attend Colorado State University and was accepted to four additional colleges or universities. Strong received the Chris Traganos Memorial Scholarship and two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and Hot Work Safety.

Alton Winkler, Electrical Wiring, of Concord. Winkler will attend Montana State University and was accepted to four additional colleges or universities. Cole Savage, Electrical Wiring, of Everett. Savage will attend Salem State University. Savage was accepted to five additional colleges or universities. Savage received two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and HILTI Tool Usage.

Cooper Boynton, Multimedia Engineering, of Harvard. Boynton received two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and Adobe Digital Video.

Adam Bates, Carpentry, of Lancaster. Bates received two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and Hot Work Safety.

Sarah Buchieri, Engineering Technology, of Lancaster. Buchieri will attend Rochester Institute of Technology and was accepted to three additional colleges or universities. Buchieri received the OSHA-10 General Safety and Health industry-recognized credential and the Alan J. McLaughlin and Digital Credit Union scholarships.

Carter Gruca, Environmental Science, of Lancaster. Gruca is working full-time for the Fitchburg Water Department as a Secondary Treatment Operator. Nicholas Soukaras, Metal Fabrication and Welding, of Lancaster. Soukaras is working as a welder apprentice for The Hub Foundation of Chelmsford. Soukaras received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and industry recognized credentials in OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and Hot Work Safety.

Robert Zaikis, Metal Fabrication and Welding, of Lancaster. Zaikis received two industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health and Hot Work Safety.

Nicholas Abreu, Engineering Technology, of Lexington. Abreu will attend the University of Rhode Island and was accepted to five additional universities. Abreu received the Digital Credit Union Scholarship and the OSHA-10 General Safety and Health industry-recognized credential.

Hannah Cataldo, Advanced Manufacturing, of Lexington. Cataldo received one industry-recognized credentials: OSHA-10 General Safety and Health.

Kyle Gaudet, Metal Fabrication and Welding, of Lexington. Gaudet is working as a welder for the Woburn Department of Public Works. Gaudet received industry-recognized credentials in OSHA-10 Construction Safety and Health, and Hot Work Safety.

Lillian Mela, Health Assisting, of Lexington. Mela will attend Simmons University and was accepted to three additional colleges or universities.
