Attention Seniors: The Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarship exam will be held on Thursday, February 6th. If you’re interested in taking the exam to qualify for one of their scholarships, you must sign up on their website by 5:00 PM on Friday, December 20th. This exam is open to all seniors in all CTE programs. It will focus on labor history and a study guide is available to students that sign up. Information on signing up can be found in your email. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. O'Connor in Guidance.
It's starting to feel like winter so it's the perfect time for a Winter Library Quarterly Reading Contest! Each time you finish a book this quarter, enter to win a gift card. Scan the QR code on the contest poster displayed on the hallway screens or find the contest poster on the Library Media Center website.
The Junior Peer Leaders will be hosting a Holiday Card Making initiative starting next Tuesday, December 10th every day through the following Tuesday, December 17th. Everyone in the Minuteman community is invited to come to the Paul Revere Room anytime during all 4 lunches on these days to make a card. The holiday cards will be delivered by Health Assisting students to local nursing homes where they work.
Attention all students interested in competing in SkillsUSA! Sign ups will start next week and run until Dec 20th. To help you figure out which competition is right for you, we will hold a drop-in Q&A session next Monday, Dec 9 at 2:35 in the Paul Revere room. Come and stay as long as it takes to get the answers you need!
The Revolution Mathletes yesterday travelled to Burlington High School, finishing in the middle of the pack. Rishi De Francesco led all sophomores with 12 of a possible 18 points. Tzuriel Yu and Sunday Agarwal also scored in double figures.
Do you want to get outdoors in winter and have fun on snow? Come learn about the new Minuteman Nordic Ski Club! An informational meeting will be held on Monday December 9th after school in the Engineering Related Room located in the trades hall just beyond the Lemon Lounge. From now, through December 17th, FFA is hosting a Pet Food Drive in the lobby- we are collecting pet food as well as snacks, toys, catnip, etc. All items collected will be donated to the Arlington Pet Food Pantry. Thank you for your support!

****ATTENTION PARENTS OF, SPECIAL NEEDS, IEP AND 504 STUDENTS: The Minuteman SEPAC wants to hear from you! We’d like to understand how effective the SEPAC can be in supporting your child’s Minuteman journey. Please fill out this brief anonymous survey which will help us prioritize focuses for the 2024-2025 school year. The results will be shared with SEPAC members only. Your participation by Weds, Dec. 18 is much appreciated.
