Sept. 14, 2022: Perkins Grant CTE Survey for Parents

Dear Minuteman High School Parents/Guardians,

Minuteman High School is a recipient of the federal Perkins V Grant, which is used to promote and remove barriers for students in accessing career technical education (CTE). As part of receiving this grant funding, Minuteman is seeking feedback from you on your student’s CTE program.

Please visit our website to fill out this parent/guardian survey, which is available in multiple languages. Please note that we will provide a survey for student feedback within the next few weeks.

Your responses will be anonymous and as part of our Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA). The responses will inform our decision-making process as we apply for the next round of Perkins Grant allocations. Minuteman will collect feedback from multiple stakeholder groups.

Perkins funding allows Minuteman to outfit our programs with state-of-the-art equipment, skill-building materials, and industry-recognized certifications for our students. Minuteman will be able to fund professional development activities for our staff and promote STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) programs. Minuteman can also use Perkins funding toward middle school-age programming to allow younger students to engage with CTE at Minuteman at an early age.

We appreciate your feedback. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Bouchard
Director of Career Technical Education
Minuteman High School
