Public Records Requests

Individuals have the right to make requests for public records under state and federal law. Prior to making a public records request from Minuteman, we ask that you please search our website in the event that the information you are seeking is located there.

A.) Records Access Officer

Under the law (SEC. 9, Sec. 6A), an agency possessing public records shall appoint a Records Access Officer (RAO). The RAO has the duty to:

  • Coordinate response to requests for access to public records;
  • Assist individuals seeking public records in identifying the records requested;
  • Assist the Custodian of Records in preserving public records, and
  • Prepare guidelines to enable requestors to make informed requests.

At the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District, the Records Access Officer (RAO) is Julia Pisegna, Chief Executive Assistant to the Superintendent.

B.) Minuteman District Public Records Request Guidelines

The requester should first peruse minuteman.org to see if the document or information sought is readily available.

If not, you can submit a public records request via email. Please clearly articulate the specific document sought. Further guidelines on receipt, response, fees, and appeals can be found at: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/pre/prenotice.htm.

The District reserves the right to impose a reasonable fee in connection with responding to public records requests in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 66, Section 10.
