Highlights
Since its inception in 1995, the Minuteman School-To-Careers Program has begun several "works in progress", in addition to having achieved many worthwhile accomplishments:
  • More than 2,000 quality student internships
  • Development of a Resource Registry
  • More than 3,000 job shadowing experiences
  • Development of Community Resource Files
  • Career Days
  • Field trips to businesses
  • Establishment of Career Centers in many of the district’s schools
  • Alumni Directories
  • Career Preparation/Exploration courses (some for graduation credit)
  • Career Speakers Series (heard by several thousand students)
  • Development of a Teaching Assistant Program
  • More than 21,000 students exposed to career information
  • More than 500 teachers from the Minuteman Region have taken advantage of the professional development the careers' group has offered
