Daily Announcements - Friday, June 6, 2008
  • Any freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in being a SkillsUSA officer for the 2008-09 school year should attend a short informational meeting Thursday after school in the TV studio.  Forms are available now for anyone interested in being an officer.  See Ms. Baker in the TV studio.
  • On Tuesday, June 10th, the Minuteman community will be observing our annual “Day of silence.”  Students, faculty, and staff who wish to participate in the day may pick up bracelets in the library before school on Tuesday morning.  Participants will remain silent during the day to protest the silence lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people face as a result of harassment, prejudice, and discrimination.  A reminder to all:  if it is imperative that you speak in your class or shop during the day, please do so.  You can still show your support by wearing a bracelet.  At the end of the school day, there will be a “Break the Silence” celebration in room 2N54.  Refreshments will be served and all participants are welcome.
  • Voting on the contract for the next three years is still taking place.  Please take the time to case your vote in the library all day today..
  • The time:  2:30 on Thursday, June 12  -  The place:  the gym at Minuteman
  • The event you’ve been waiting for – the almost annual student faculty hoop game.  Come out and see whether this is the year the students finally beat their elderly teachers.  We doubt it!!  Tickets on sale at lunch the week of the event.
  • Sports buses at 6:00-6:15 have ended for the remainder of the school  year.  The 3:30 late buses on Tuesdays and Thursdays will be available as usual through Tuesday, June 17th.
