Mission Statement

The mission of the Minuteman Regional High School library is to provide resources, technology, and services to develop students as skilled seekers, finders, and evaluators of information and to encourage a commitment to life-long reading and learning.

About the Library

Library Procedures
Students and staff may use the library for research, reading, group projects, and instruction.

Space and time for class research projects may be reserved by calling extension 409. Advance consultation regarding class assignments is encouraged.

Food or drink should be enjoyed outside of the library. The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited.

Computer Use
The library has 30 work stations equipped with Internet, subscription databases, word processing applications. Computers are to be used for school related research.

Circulation Policies
Books and audio tapes are loaned for two weeks with options for renewal. Magazines and videos are for library use only. Lost materials must be replaced or paid for.

Borrowing privileges may be restricted if materials are not returned in a timely manner.

Reference Material
Reference books and items on reserve may be borrowed overnight with permission of a library staff member. Overnight loans are due back by the first block of the school day.

Library use is a privilege. Students are expected to comply with the library procedures, respect the staff, and treat equipment and materials with care. Violations may result in loss of library privileges.
