Message from the Superintendent

DrBWelcome to the 2009-10 School Year. It is an honor to serve, in my third year, as the Superintendent of Minuteman Career & Technical High School.

This is the year of Communication and Minuteman has incredible news & events to share with the Minuteman family and community.

First, State Treasurer Tim Cahill, Chair of the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) and Katherine Craven, MSBA Executive Director, announced a new $100 Million investment initiative to fund capital improvements in Massachusetts vocational technical high schools. Minuteman will be one of the recipients of this funding.

Secondly, the Workforce Development Coordinator and the Community Education Director are launching new programs with several partners in our community to help train students and adults for tomorrow's workforce and meet the needs of local business.

And finally, as you can see, Minuteman has launched a new website. We are in the process of developing our News and Events page and Social Networking capablities so that our community can receive updated information in a timely manner. We will also be implementing a listserve and Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds so you will be aware of all the "Happening Now"at Minuteman when you want it.

I look forward to a productive and engaging year with you.

Regards,

Dr. B.
