General Information
Dates: Summer School will run from Monday, July 7 through Friday, August 1. Four week courses will meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 am or from 12 to 3 pm Most one and two week courses will meet from 8:30 to 11:30 am or from 12 to 3 pm unless otherwise specified.
Registration: Register by mail, by phone (781-861-7150 or 781-861-7151), by FAX (781-861-7250), or in person between 8 am and 4 pm at the Summer School Office, Minuteman Regional High School, 758 Marrett Road, Lexington, MA 02421. Refund Policy: 100 percent refund of tuition prior to the first class, 75 percent refund prior to the second class, 50 percent refund prior to the third class. There are no refunds made after the third class, with the exception of Computer Experience.
Enrollment: Students in or entering grades 7 to 12 and adults are welcome to enroll. Several courses are open to younger children. Minuteman Regional High School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sexual orientation, national origin, age, sex, or disability in admission programs and activities. Those enrolling in a 4-week Sports and Recreation course for 3 weeks must pay full tuition, for 2 weeks 2/3 tuition and for 1 week 1/2 tuition.
Books and Supplies: Students are responsible for paying for their own books, materials and supplies unless these fees are included in the course fee. In any academic class where a student borrows a textbook, it must be returned by the last day of class. A $60 book fee will be charged for any such textbook not returned by this deadline.
Cancellation of Classes: The school reserves the right to cancel anycourse for which there is insufficient enrollment and to substitute for a listed instructor if necessary.
Breakfast & Lunch: Will be offered to the public Monday through Friday. Breakfast will be served from 8 am to 10:15 am, and lunch from 10:45 am until 12:30 pm. Lunch supervision is provided.
Transportation: Students must provide their own transportation. Public transportation is available via the Alewife to Hanscom Field MBTA bus, which passes through Arlington and Lexington. MBTA student bus passes are available from the Summer School Office. LEXPRESS, Lexington’s mini-bus system, connects with MBTA Routes 62 and 76 in Lexington Center. Confirmation of Enrollment: Students are notified by the ContinuingEducation Office that they are accepted into the Minuteman Summer School Program. Students attending morning classes should report to the Minuteman cafeteria on the first day for their room assignments. Students attending afternoon classes should report to the Minuteman library on the first day to receive their room assignments.
Note: Course changes are only permitted on the second and third day of classes. Thereafter, a $20 fee will be charged for each course change.
