For most of the day, the children are heterogeneously or “family” grouped which affords them the opportunity to play and learn on many levels. The older children gain tolerance and learn leadership skills while the younger ones are exposed to a broader range of experiences. Through open-ended curriculum activities, each child also experiences success and perceives school as a positive place.
