“STANGS MAKE STATEMENT AT NE ELITE”
Members of the upcoming 2008 football squad are already hard at work this summer.  On July 7th a record number (14) of Mustangs traveled to Bentley College to participate in the legendary New England Elite ~ Football Skills Camp. This elite 4-day event has been in existence over a decade and features coaches from all over the country in all different levels of football.

This year’s staff was headlined by coaches from Division I programs like Oregon, North Carolina & Columbia.   Over 500 student athletes made the trip to Bentley, making this week one of the most competitive yet. 
The Minuteman Squad in attendance made their presence felt throughout the week by working hard in many quality drill sessions.  The squad also participated in 8 vs. 8 passing games daily.  The highlight for the Stangs came on day four in the final tournament day of the camp.  On this day the Mustangs ran the table winning three games in a row on route to the NCAA Gold Division Title. 
This title earned the team championship shirts to end what proved to be an excellent week for Minuteman Football.  

“This was a nice step for the future of this program.  I was pleased with the way we presented ourselves this week.  Coach Papas has established this clinic as one of the best, year in and year out.  Our kids gained not only some quality instruction but more importantly confidence and a reason to believe heading into the dog days of August” said Coach Tildsley.
