Mustang Football

Coach: Brian Tildsley
Brian Tildsley, a former football and wrestling standout at Wilmington High School, is now a three-season head coach at Minuteman after being named Minuteman's varsity football coach.

Brian, who was already in charge of the Mustang's wrestling and boy's lacrosse programs, was recently named varsity football coach for the 2008 season.

He is taking over a team that went 2-9 in 2007 and has only won one league game in the last three years. Minuteman is a member of the CAC Small division in football.

"I'm excited about the opportunity, but there is a lot of work that needs to be done," said Tildsley, who graduated from Wilmington High in 1994.

Brian is the Dean of Students at Minuteman. He has talked to his uncle, Jim Tildsley, the highly successful girls basketball coach at Andover High, about joining his young staff. Jim Tildsley was an assistant football coach at Wilmington when Brian played for the Wildcats.

In 2006, Tildsley was a freshman coach on Shawsheen Tech's football staff. He has a great deal of admiration for the way Al Costabile runs the Ram's program and plans on using that as his blue print for rebuilding the Mustang's football program.
